There's a moment on the wheel when a shapeless lump of clay suddenly finds its center — and everything after that is pure possibility. In this hands-on series, you'll learn to wedge, center, and pull your clay into real, functional forms: mugs, bowls, chip and dip bowls, and small vases. Along the way, we'll cover trimming, attaching handles, and finish with an introduction to glazing to bring your pieces to life. Clay usage is unlimited throughout class — throw and try again as often as you need. Your class cost includes 8 fired pieces. Unused firing tickets don't expire — use them in a future class or independent study module, and you can always purchase more tickets if you need them. Age Requirement 15+ What to Bring Hand towel — the studio does not provide towels or paper towels. Apron (optional), for extra protection from clay and glaze splashes. Trimming tool — needed by week two; we'll cover which one to get in your first session. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes and clothes you don't mind getting messy. The studio provides basic tools, but feel free to build your own kit with items like sponges, wire tools, and ribs. Pickup Policy Pieces are ready for pickup 10–14 days after your last session. The studio does not store pieces for more than one month after your class ends — please finish and pick up your pieces promptly.
