Service Description
In this workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of handbuilding to craft your new favorite mug. Our instructor will guide you through forming the mug’s body using slabs and coils, shaping handles, and assembling the pieces for a functional design. Once your mug takes shape, you’ll explore ways to make it truly your own. Add small sculpted details like flowers, animals, or abstract forms, and experiment with underglaze decorations to enhance the surface with pops of color or intricate patterns. You’ll also learn how to refine edges and smooth seams for a professional finish. Each participant will make one mug during class, but you’re welcome to create additional pieces, which can be fired for $10 each. After the Mud and Easel team fires and glazes your mug, it will be ready for pick-up in 3–5 weeks, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or gifting to someone special. What to Bring: A hand towel you don’t mind getting dirty, and any small tools or items you’d like to use for textures or details. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation and Booking Policy Refund Policy: Bookings for classes, workshops, events, and private lessons canceled 14 or more calendar days before the scheduled date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 8 days prior to the class or event will be eligible for a 50% refund. Unfortunately, cancellations made 7 days or less before the class/course are not eligible for a refund. Studio-Initiated Cancellations In the event that the studio needs to cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances such as medical emergencies, equipment outages, weather delays, or other urgent situations, we will notify all enrolled students as early as possible before the scheduled class. To accommodate the missed session, the instructor will provide a new sign-up sheet with potential times for a makeup class. In cases where the event is entirely canceled or cannot be rescheduled, the studio will issue refunds as follows: Workshops: A full refund will be provided. Series Classes: A partial refund equivalent to the missed class(es) will be offered.
