Nothing sets a holiday table like handmade serveware. In this handbuilding class, you'll learn coiling and slab building — no wheel required — to construct a set of festive, functional pieces for your holiday spread: baking dishes, serving trays, casseroles, and a pie dish. You'll roll and join slabs, build up coils, and shape each piece by hand, then bring it all to life with holiday-themed decorating rollers and texture tools for stamped, embossed surface designs. We'll close out with glazing, so your finished set is ready for the table. Clay usage is unlimited throughout class — build, rework, and try again as often as you need. Your class cost includes 8 firing tickets. Unused tickets don't expire — use them in a future class or independent study module, and you can always purchase more if you need them. Age Requirement 15+ What to Bring Hand towel — the studio does not provide towels or paper towels. Apron (optional), for extra protection from clay and glaze. Small texture or decorating items (optional) — your teacher may suggest bringing a few of your own based on the look you're going for. The studio provides basic tools, but consider building out your kit with items like a serrated metal rib, soft ribs, cleaning sponges, a needle tool, and X-Acto knives — all useful for slab and coil work. Pickup Policy Pieces are ready for pickup 10–14 days after your last session. The studio does not store pieces for more than one month after your class ends — please finish and pick up your pieces promptly.
