Service Description
In this course, you’ll learn to create sculptural vases through handbuilding techniques. Starting with foundational methods like coil building and slab construction, you’ll shape both classic forms and more abstract, innovative designs that challenge traditional ideas of what a vase can be. We’ll work on creating multiple pieces, exploring techniques in clay carving, sculpting and decorating. As you shape and refine these forms, you’ll gain experience in balancing structure with creative expression, learning to transform organic shapes into cohesive, conceptual pieces. To complete the process, we’ll guide you through underglaze and traditional glazing methods, adding the final touch to each work. By the end, you’ll have a set of sculptural vases, each one functional yet distinctively artistic. Finished pieces will be ready for pick-up 3–5 weeks after the course. What to bring: Please bring a hand towel that you don’t mind getting dirty. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that can handle clay and water. Bring an apron if you want to.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation and Booking Policy Refund Policy: Bookings for classes, workshops, events, and private lessons canceled 14 or more calendar days before the scheduled date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 8 days prior to the class or event will be eligible for a 50% refund. Unfortunately, cancellations made 7 days or less before the class/course are not eligible for a refund. Studio-Initiated Cancellations In the event that the studio needs to cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances such as medical emergencies, equipment outages, weather delays, or other urgent situations, we will notify all enrolled students as early as possible before the scheduled class. To accommodate the missed session, the instructor will provide a new sign-up sheet with potential times for a makeup class. In cases where the event is entirely canceled or cannot be rescheduled, the studio will issue refunds as follows: Workshops: A full refund will be provided. Series Classes: A partial refund equivalent to the missed class(es) will be offered.
