Service Description
Elevate your baking creations with a handmade cake stand! In this workshop, you’ll use slab-building techniques to create a one-of-a-kind piece. Learn how to roll and cut slabs to achieve consistent thickness, shape them into forms, and assemble the components for a sturdy and functional stand. Our instructor will also demonstrate techniques to add decorative elements, including stamping, sculpting, impressing textures and painting with underglaze. Personalize your cake stand with unique patterns or create a smooth, minimalist look. Explore ways to combine different textures, like lace patterns or botanical imprints, to make a truly eye-catching design. You’ll create one cake stand during the class, but if you’d like to make more, additional pieces can be fired for $20 each. Age - 16+ Once the Mud and Easel team has fired and glazed your creations, they’ll be ready to pick up in 3–5 weeks, just in time to show off at your next gathering or as a thoughtful gift. What to Bring: A hand towel you don’t mind getting dirty, and any objects for texturing, such as lace, stamps, or natural materials like leaves or flowers. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes. If you have questions about specific textures, feel free to contact the studio with photos of your materials.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation and Booking Policy Refund Policy: Bookings for classes, workshops, events, and private lessons canceled 14 or more calendar days before the scheduled date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 8 days prior to the class or event will be eligible for a 50% refund. Unfortunately, cancellations made 7 days or less before the class/course are not eligible for a refund or a reschedule. Studio-Initiated Cancellations In the event that the studio needs to cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances such as medical emergencies, equipment outages, weather delays, or other urgent situations, we will notify all enrolled students as early as possible before the scheduled class. To accommodate the missed session, the instructor will provide a new sign-up sheet with potential times for a makeup class. In cases where the event is entirely canceled or cannot be rescheduled, the studio will issue refunds as follows: Workshops: A full refund will be provided. Series Classes: A partial refund equivalent to the missed class(es) will be offered.
