Service Description
Join us for an exciting single session of our handbuilding class, where you’ll have the chance to create your own ceramic charcuterie board or chip-and-dip bowl. This workshop is perfect for beginners and anyone interested in exploring the versatility of handbuilding with clay. In this session, we’ll focus on slab-building techniques—working with flat sheets of clay that can be shaped, textured, and joined to form functional serving ware. This method offers a high success rate for first-time potters and allows for plenty of creative freedom in designing your piece. You’ll learn how to shape slabs, create clean edges, and add dividers if desired. We’ll also cover basic techniques for adding texture and pattern to the surface, sculpting, and painting little things giving your board or bowl a unique, handmade character. You,ll make one board in this class, if you make more - you can fire additional pieces for $20. After the session, instructors will note your glaze preferences and glaze your piece for you. Your finished work will be ready for pickup in 3–5 weeks. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation and Booking Policy Refund Policy: Bookings for classes, workshops, events, and private lessons canceled 14 or more calendar days before the scheduled date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 8 days prior to the class or event will be eligible for a 50% refund. Unfortunately, cancellations made 7 days or less before the class/course are not eligible for a refund or a reschedule. Studio-Initiated Cancellations In the event that the studio needs to cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances such as medical emergencies, equipment outages, weather delays, or other urgent situations, we will notify all enrolled students as early as possible before the scheduled class. To accommodate the missed session, the instructor will provide a new sign-up sheet with potential times for a makeup class. In cases where the event is entirely canceled or cannot be rescheduled, the studio will issue refunds as follows: Workshops: A full refund will be provided. Series Classes: A partial refund equivalent to the missed class(es) will be offered.
