Service Description
In this concept-driven class, we’ll explore the sculptural possibilities of lighting through clay. Using primarily coiling techniques, you’ll learn to handbuild your own table lamp, oil lamp, or wall-mounted candle lamp. This intermediate-level class is best suited for those who are already comfortable with basic handbuilding and want to push their skills into more ambitious forms. We’ll focus on scale, proportion, and how to develop your own stylistic language when building larger, functional ceramic pieces. Expect to spend time thinking through your design choices and exploring how form and function can meet in expressive ways. Because of the size of the work, finished pieces will take approximately 3 weeks to fully dry before they are ready for glazing. While we’ll cover decorating and glazing options during class, final glazing must be completed during open studio hours (additional cost applies). What to bring: Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a hand towel.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation and Booking Policy Refund Policy: Bookings for classes, workshops, events, and private lessons canceled 14 or more calendar days before the scheduled date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 8 days prior to the class or event will be eligible for a 50% refund. Unfortunately, cancellations made 7 days or less before the class/course are not eligible for a refund or a reschedule. Studio-Initiated Cancellations In the event that the studio needs to cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances such as medical emergencies, equipment outages, weather delays, or other urgent situations, we will notify all enrolled students as early as possible before the scheduled class. To accommodate the missed session, the instructor will provide a new sign-up sheet with potential times for a makeup class. In cases where the event is entirely canceled or cannot be rescheduled, the studio will issue refunds as follows: Workshops: A full refund will be provided. Series Classes: A partial refund equivalent to the missed class(es) will be offered.
