Service Description

Unlock your creativity in our Handbuilding & Glaze Room, available during open hours for experienced artists who’ve completed a class at Mud and Easel or have similar experience. This space is perfect for handbuilding projects, glazing, and adding those finishing touches to your work. 5 Mins studio orientation tour included. What’s Included: Use of handbuilding stations, glazes, and essential tools, as well as clay for your projects. Open shelf space for in-progress pieces—please remember, this is not for personal tool storage. Firing options available at $10 per piece, covering both bisque and glaze firings. (for small pieces such as mugs and small bowls) Custom firing costs for medium to large pieces depending on size) - check firing costs with studio management. Booking and Studio Usage: The studio is divided into two rooms: Book the Handbuilding & Glaze Room for all handbuilding projects and glazing work. Reserve a spot in the Wheel Throwing Room if you need access to wheels for throwing or trimming. Firing and Storage Policies: When your work is ready for firing, place it on the designated bisque or glaze shelf, and the studio will handle the firing within 7–10 days. Please aim to complete your work within a month. If you need additional time, let us know about your plans; unclaimed pieces after 30 days may be removed. Keeping the Space Clean: Allocate time at the end of your session to clean your workspace, returning tools to designated areas and leaving your station ready for the next artist. Booking Your Session: Open hours are organized in 2-hour slots. If you’d like extra time, reserve additional slots back-to-back. Book early to secure your times, as unbooked slots may be canceled.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation and Booking Policy Refund Policy: Bookings for classes, workshops, events, and private lessons canceled 14 or more calendar days before the scheduled date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 8 days prior to the class or event will be eligible for a 50% refund. Unfortunately, cancellations made 7 days or less before the class/course are not eligible for a refund. Studio-Initiated Cancellations In the event that the studio needs to cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances such as medical emergencies, equipment outages, weather delays, or other urgent situations, we will notify all enrolled students as early as possible before the scheduled class. To accommodate the missed session, the instructor will provide a new sign-up sheet with potential times for a makeup class. In cases where the event is entirely canceled or cannot be rescheduled, the studio will issue refunds as follows: Workshops: A full refund will be provided. Series Classes: A partial refund equivalent to the missed class(es) will be offered.
