Service Description

Our Wheel Throwing Room provides everything you need to throw or trim your pottery pieces independently. Designed for artists with prior experience, either at Mud and Easel or elsewhere, this room includes wheels, clay, and essential tools for your projects. All new open hours artists will get a 5 min studio orientation tour. What’s Included: Access to pottery wheels, clay, and necessary tools. Open shelf space for in-progress work only—please don’t store personal tools here. Firing options available at $10 per piece, covering both bisque and glaze firings. (for small pieces such as mugs and small bowls) Custom firing costs for medium to large pieces depending on size) - check firing costs with studio management. Booking and Studio Usage: To keep your projects flowing smoothly, remember: Reserve the Wheel Throwing Room for throwing and trimming on the wheel. Book the Handbuilding & Glaze Room for handbuilding projects and glazing work. Firing and Storage Policies: Place ready-to-fire pieces on the designated bisque or glaze shelf, and expect firing within 7–10 days. Plan to complete your projects within a month. If more time is needed, let us know to avoid removal of unclaimed work after 30 days. Maintaining a Clean Workspace: Please include cleanup in your session time. Return tools to their proper places and leave your station clean for the next artist. Booking Your Session: Sessions are scheduled in 2-hour slots. Feel free to book consecutive slots if more time is needed. Make sure to reserve your times early to ensure availability, as unbooked slots may be canceled.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation and Booking Policy Refund Policy: Bookings for classes, workshops, events, and private lessons canceled 14 or more calendar days before the scheduled date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 8 days prior to the class or event will be eligible for a 50% refund. Unfortunately, cancellations made 7 days or less before the class/course are not eligible for a refund. Studio-Initiated Cancellations In the event that the studio needs to cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances such as medical emergencies, equipment outages, weather delays, or other urgent situations, we will notify all enrolled students as early as possible before the scheduled class. To accommodate the missed session, the instructor will provide a new sign-up sheet with potential times for a makeup class. In cases where the event is entirely canceled or cannot be rescheduled, the studio will issue refunds as follows: Workshops: A full refund will be provided. Series Classes: A partial refund equivalent to the missed class(es) will be offered.
