Service Description
Join us for an exciting single session of our handbuilding class, where you'll have the chance to create a medium sized vase or sculptural vase. This workshop is designed for beginners but is suitable for anyone looking to explore the flexibility of handbuilding with clay. In this session, we will primarily focus on the coil building technique, an age-old method that involves rolling out long strands of clay to construct your desired shapes. This technique not only provides a higher chance of success for beginners, but also allows for greater creativity and control over your designs, making it easier to achieve your vision. You’ll learn how to layer coils effectively to create both functional and artistic pieces, along with techniques for adding texture to your work, which can enhance the overall aesthetic. This hands-on experience invites you to experiment and explore your creativity while building foundational pottery skills. After the session instructors will note your glaze preferences and will glaze the piece for you. Your piece will be available for pick up in 3 - 5 weeks. Please bring a hand towel that you don’t mind getting dirty. Since working with clay can be a bit messy, you might get some on your clothes or experience light water splashes, so wear something comfortable that you don’t mind getting a little dirty. Please bring an apron if you want to. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as well.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation and Booking Policy Refund Policy: Bookings for classes, workshops, events, and private lessons canceled 14 or more calendar days before the scheduled date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 8 days prior to the class or event will be eligible for a 50% refund. Unfortunately, cancellations made 7 days or less before the class/course are not eligible for a refund. Studio-Initiated Cancellations In the event that the studio needs to cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances such as medical emergencies, equipment outages, weather delays, or other urgent situations, we will notify all enrolled students as early as possible before the scheduled class. To accommodate the missed session, the instructor will provide a new sign-up sheet with potential times for a makeup class. In cases where the event is entirely canceled or cannot be rescheduled, the studio will issue refunds as follows: Workshops: A full refund will be provided. Series Classes: A partial refund equivalent to the missed class(es) will be offered.
